Contract law

Contract law, or more specifically agreement law, concerns matters such as the duration and termination of agreements. By investing in this in advance, sky-high costs can be avoided in the long term.

A good contract needs to be custom-made and thus not a standard model contract that you download from the internet. We draw up, correct, check and edit a wide range of commercial contracts, nationally and internationally (in Dutch and English). We ensure that it is clear who the contact parties are, that contracts are signed by the authorised representative(s) and that the correct date is used, the correct law applies and the correct court has jurisdiction. In addition, we formulate the obligations in a clear, unambiguous and enforceable way. We also make sure that conclusive agreements are made about confidentiality, competition and non-solicitation clauses – if necessary, backed up with clear penalty clauses. We also ensure that it is clear under which circumstances a contract can be terminated (dissolution or cancellation) and what the legal consequences of this are. And, needless to say, we conduct the negotiations on your behalf.
