‘Family-run businesses feel at home with us’
You are proud to be managing a company founded by your ancestors. Yet there's always that sense of pressure that you don’t want to be the generation that fails. Added to that, the click between you and your other family members may not be the same as it was with your predecessors. Succession by the next generation is always in the back of your mind. These are issues we understand better than anybody and that we frequently encounter in daily practice.
The Netherlands has more than 277,000 family-run businesses, which makes them the backbone and job engine of our economy. Large, small, well-known, less well-known, young, old, progressive or traditional, they are usually wonderful businesses with a great history and a high standard of entrepreneurship. What almost all of them have in common is their enormous personal engagement in and passion for business.
We can empathise with the passion that you have for your family-run business and everything related to it. We now have a close relationship many family-run businesses. In family-run businesses, matters are often arranged and discussed on the basis of trust and as a matter of course. We understand that tendency very well, but we like to make agreements visible and frameworks clear without changing the DNA of the family-run business. We do this in the role of legal representative, associate, confidant and sounding board.
